What to Do When a Storefront Window Breaks After Hours
A broken storefront after closing time — vandalism, accident, or weather. Here is what to do in the first hour and what to expect from a board-up.

What's happening
A broken commercial storefront after hours is a security risk before it is a glass problem. Inventory is exposed, the alarm may be disabled, and insurance documentation has to be gathered before anyone disturbs the scene. Most owners do not know whether to call the alarm company, the police, or a glass shop first.
How the fix works
Sequence: photos → police report (if needed) → glass shop. We respond after-hours via voicemail to the owner, drive out the same night for active emergencies, and board the opening with plywood to secure the property. We document the damage on arrival for the insurance file, then measure, order tempered replacement glass, and schedule permanent install once the unit is fabricated. Most retailers are back to glass in under a week.
